1. Mineral lines carried coal tubs to the main railway.2. The Pinnox branch was originally constructed as a mineral line between Longport and Tunstall. 3. Several mineral lines radiated from the Coatbridge line to coal pits close to the line. 4. A connection was provided from the new Coalpit Heath station to the Nibley mineral line . 5. Ravelrig was a complex junction, and there were two mineral lines serving nearby quarries. 6. Although now entirely mineral lines , modern signalling systems were in use for the intensive traffic. 7. A gate separated the colliery sidings from the ( former B & GlosR ) mineral line . 8. The approaches to Glasgow were over existing mineral lines , but a superior route was later built. 9. The decline continued and by 1963 nearly all of the West of Fife mineral lines had closed. 10. The Lesmahagow lines had completely closed by 1968 and the southwards mineral lines from Hamilton closed in 1960.
